I learned quilling by myself, below introduction is based on my own experience.

Put some glue at the end ,tight coil is finished.
My own way is to use a tool, such as a ruler or the handle of tweezers to push one side of the coil at the end. It can make the shape look better.

Loose coil is the basic of many shapes.Same as the above, put paper inside the tool and roll it, then put the coil inside circle sizer.
Put some glue at the end of the paper.
Use tweezers to take it out.
